Apple’s annual Back to School deals are now live, offering education pricing and gift cards on select products. However, there are better deals to be had elsewhere.
The Back to School offers include gift cards ranging from $100 to $150 on four specific Macs and four iPads. The devices include the iMac, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and the 11-inch and 13-inch versions of both the M4 iPad Pro and M4 iPad Air. Apple is also offering a 20% discount on its AppleCare+ insurance for each device.
However, these savings are readily beaten by all new Apple devices from third-party resellers. These deals are not confined to just Back to School periods and are often available in limited supply. Unlike Apple’s student discount, these deals at Apple resellers are available to all customers, not just students or faculty members.
For instance, the M3 MacBook Air is available at Amazon for $899, which is $100 less than Apple’s education discount price. Similarly, the 13-inch M3 MacBook Pro is available at Amazon for $300 off the standard price. There are also significant discounts available on iPads at third-party resellers.
