Intel has previewed its upcoming AI Playground app, a free and user-friendly platform for AI image generation. The app is set to launch later this summer. It runs entirely on a user’s PC thus eliminating the need for complex scripts or a data connection. It leverages the parallel processing power of an Intel Core Ultra processor with a built-in Intel Arc GPU or a separate 8GB VRAM Arc Graphics card. The app offers image creation, image editing, and chat functions, all accessible with a simple click. Image generation is as straightforward as entering a prompt and clicking a button. Advanced users can still access more complex settings in Manual mode. The app also includes a chatbot that can be fine-tuned to improve performance. As everything runs locally on the user’s PC, data privacy is significantly enhanced. The app also supports Pytorch models from other generative AI applications, offering a unique blend of flexibility and privacy.
