Brad Pitt and George Clooney Star in Apple Original Film Wolfs

Apple has unveiled the trailer for its upcoming big cinema release, Wolfs, starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney. The film, directed by Jon Watts, is an action comedy where Pitt and Clooney play two professional fixers assigned to the same job. Forced to work together, they find themselves in a series of unexpected events.

The film reunites Pitt and Clooney on screen for the first time since Ocean’s 11. The cast also includes Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, and Poorna Jagannathan. The film was fully financed by Apple in 2021, with Pitt and Clooney taking pay cuts to ensure a theatrical release. Sony is handling worldwide theatrical distribution.

Wolfs is set to hit theaters on September 20, 2024, and will later stream exclusively on Apple TV+. This marks Apple’s latest attempt at cracking the big-budget box office, following releases of other films like Killers of the Flower Moon, Napoleon, Argylle, and Fly Me to the Moon. Despite the cost of production and marketing, Apple’s box office takings for its original films have been modest so far. However, the company also benefits from these films landing on its streaming service, Apple TV+.
