Apple’s first-ever retail store in Malaysia, the Apple Store TRX, is set to open its doors on June 22. This store, located in Kuala Lumpur, has been a topic of speculation for years, and its opening has been eagerly anticipated.
The store is housed in a spectacular tiered pyramid structure, part of the city’s new Exchange TRX shopping center. The building’s unique design has been a point of interest, and it was widely speculated to be the new Apple Store even before official confirmation came from Apple.
Apple has already established retail stores in other parts of the region, including India, Thailand, and Singapore. The opening of the store in Malaysia further strengthens Apple’s presence in South-east Asia.
In celebration of the store’s opening, Apple has released a special wallpaper that replicates the tiered design of the store roof. The wallpaper features the word ‘Jom’, a Malay slang term that translates to “Let’s go!”
