Netflix has released the first official look at Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia in the fourth season of The Witcher. Hemsworth, known for his role in The Hunger Games, has taken over the role from Henry Cavill, who exited the series after its third season.
In the released video, Hemsworth, dressed in the iconic White Wolf wig and costume, is seen leading his horse to water on a foggy night. The resemblance between Hemsworth and Cavill in their respective Geralt ensembles is striking, leading to reactions of “I can’t believe it’s not Cavill.”
The fourth season of The Witcher is currently in production, with the fifth season announced as the final one. Both seasons are being filmed back-to-back. The series will continue to feature Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, and Joey Batey in their roles as Yennefer, Ciri, and Jaskier the bard, respectively. New faces joining the cast include Laurence Fishburne and Sharlto Copley.
Hemsworth expressed his excitement about taking over the role, praising Cavill’s portrayal of Geralt and expressing his eagerness to step into the Witcher world. With this change in the lead role, fans are eagerly waiting to see Hemsworth’s interpretation of the beloved character Geralt of Rivia.
