Ken Segall, the man behind the ‘i’ prefix in many Apple products, believes it’s time for a change. According to Segall, the ‘i’ prefix has become meaningless and should be dropped. He argues that while Steve Jobs built Apple around it, the ‘i’ has always been a sub-brand.

Despite the potential backlash from marketing experts who might argue that the ‘i’ prefix is still in front of some of the greatest brands ever, Segall insists that it can’t be protected. He points out that there have been numerous companies with ‘i’ internet-connected things, which could pose an issue for Apple, a company known for innovation.
