The Rabbit R1, a device that was initially marketed as a unique AI assistant, has been revealed to be an Android application. This revelation came to light when Mishaal Rahman from Android Authority managed to download and run the Rabbit R1’s launcher APK on a Google Pixel 6A.
Rahman was able to operate the app as if it were on Rabbit’s own device by using the volume-up key in place of the R1’s single hardware button. This allowed him to set up an account and start asking questions, just as if he were using the actual Rabbit R1 device.
This discovery has raised questions about the true nature of the Rabbit R1. The device, which was touted for its unique AI capabilities, now appears to be a repackaged Android application. This has led to speculation about the true capabilities of the device and whether it can deliver on its promise of being a revolutionary AI assistant.
