T-Mobile is reportedly cracking down on the misuse of its 5G home internet service by verifying customer addresses. The company aims to ensure that the service is not being used on the go. The move is necessary to maintain network capacity across all regions. T-Mobile’s 5G home internet service has always featured integrated GPS, but it has been dormant until now. From May 8, customers will have to verify their gateway location, and using the same on the go will no longer be free. T-Mobile has introduced Home Internet Plus and Away plans as alternatives. Furthermore, T-Mobile may soon throttle many home internet customers based on usage, location, time of day, and regional network congestion.
