Global Tech Leaders Admit Unpreparedness for AI Despite Its Priority

Most global tech leaders see their companies as unprepared for the demands of artificial intelligence (AI), despite it being a top priority. This is according to a survey of chief information officers by Lenovo Group Ltd. The survey found that aspects like computing infrastructure and corporate policies on ethical use are not yet “AI-ready”. Furthermore, 42% of the respondents do not expect to show a return on their AI investments for at least the next two years. Despite these challenges, 96% anticipate increased investment in AI over the next 12 months. However, many find it difficult to demonstrate the benefit of such ventures, raising questions about whether AI spending can be converted into positive business outcomes.
