Apple’s Long-Awaited Calculator App for iPad Set to Launch with iPadOS 18

Apple is finally introducing a native Calculator app for iPad, 14 years after the device’s launch. The Calculator app, expected to be unveiled with iPadOS 18 at WWDC, will offer unit and currency conversion, Math Notes, and iCloud sync. The app is part of Apple’s unified experience across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS platforms. The Calculator app will share core functionalities with the redesigned Calculator app for macOS, codenamed Project GrayParrot. Features include a new sidebar for viewing calculation history, dates, and a dedicated toggle button. The Calculator app will also receive upgrades to its unit and currency conversion capabilities, using up-to-date Yahoo Finance rates for currency conversions. The revamped macOS Calculator app, alongside the new iPad version, is expected to debut at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference on June 10.
