Apple Vision Pro Sees Plummeting Interest and Sales After Initial Launch Surge

Apple’s mixed reality headset, the Vision Pro, has seen a significant drop in interest and sales since its launch. The headset, which sold 180,000 units during its January pre-order weekend, is now reportedly selling just a few units per week at some Apple stores.

The demand for demos of the technology has also decreased significantly, with many people who booked appointments to test the Vision Pros not showing up. Despite the initial hype and quick sell-out, consumers seem to have moved on from the product.

The Vision Pro has been criticized for being impractical in everyday life, with users on the subreddit r/VisionPro complaining about the headset’s discomfort, difficulty finding apps on the Vision Pro app store, and the isolating nature of the technology.

Despite the decline in interest and usage, Apple continues to feature the Vision Pro on its homepage. However, the product seems to have become a niche item, with many existing owners reportedly letting their headsets collect dust on the shelf.

This downturn in popularity comes amidst predictions that the Vision Pro would become a niche product until a cheaper version is released. These predictions appear to have come true, with the Vision Pro virtually disappearing from public conversation.
