Samsung is offering a free, one-time screen replacement for select Galaxy phones affected by the infamous green line issue. This offer is currently available in India for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21, Galaxy Note 20, and Galaxy S22 phones. The replacement policy applies to these devices if they were purchased within the last three years.
The green line issue has been a persistent problem for Samsung phone users, with complaints dating back to last year. More recently, Galaxy S21 series users have reported the appearance of a green line on their devices following software updates.
To claim the free screen replacement, users with green lines on their Galaxy phones have until April 30, 2024, to book an appointment with a Samsung service center. Alongside a brand-new display, the company is also offering a free battery replacement.
Samsung is yet to confirm whether this free screen replacement policy will apply to Galaxy phone users experiencing the green line issue in other regions apart from India. The company is also exploring alternative solutions for devices experiencing the green line issue that are not eligible for a free replacement.
