Apple is set to unveil iOS 18 at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024, with significant enhancements expected in the realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The tech giant has been hinting at a major AI overhaul, with Apple’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Greg Joswiak, and CEO Tim Cook indicating that more AI news is due in 2024.
One of the key areas of focus is Siri, Apple’s intelligent assistant. Rumors suggest that Siri could undergo a massive upgrade, with more personalization and natural conversation flows. This could be a result of Apple’s investments in the field of AI, as indicated by job ads and research papers. In fact, beta testing for iOS 17.4 revealed that four different AI models were being tested, including two versions of AjaxGPT, Apple’s in-house Large Language Model (LLM).
In addition to AI, iOS 18 is expected to bring a new interface and improved accessibility features.
