Microsoft Expands Copilot AI to More Windows Users

Microsoft is expanding the rollout of its AI assistant, Copilot, to more Windows 11 users. The company has also announced that Windows 10 users will soon have access to the AI assistant. The new wave of Copilot additions is currently happening for Windows 11 users, and eligible Windows 10 devices will start to receive Copilot later in March. The current rollout phase is expected to reach most of its targeted Windows 11 and 10 devices by the end of May.

In addition to the wider rollout, Microsoft has made it possible to use up to 10 queries with Copilot before users have to sign in to their Microsoft account. This allows users to test the AI even if they don’t have an active Microsoft account on their Windows installation.

While Copilot is expanding its reach, Microsoft is also working on enhancing its capabilities, particularly in changing Windows settings. However, progress on this front has been slow. Despite these developments, the AI assistant is still in preview, and users may experience some issues when running queries with Copilot.
