Google’s Quick Share, previously known as Nearby Share, is set to improve file sharing between Android devices and Windows PCs. The feature allows users to transfer files over a local wireless connection, eliminating the need for an internet connection and offering faster speeds than standard Bluetooth transfers. Quick Share for Windows is designed with safety and privacy in mind, giving users control over who can discover their devices and send files. The service is expected to be compatible with Android GMS devices running Android 6 and up, and computers running a 64-bit version of Windows 10 and up. ARM devices are currently not supported.
