Glassdoor, the platform that allows employees to anonymously review their workplaces, has reportedly started revealing users’ real names on their profiles, causing a backlash. The change began last July when Glassdoor integrated social features from Fishbowl, an app it acquired in 2021. Now, signing up for a Glassdoor account requires users to disclose their full name, job title, and employer, a departure from its previous policy of only requiring email addresses. While reviews remain anonymous, the new policy of collecting and verifying real names has raised privacy concerns.
