Qualcomm’s latest chipset, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, has been announced. This new platform is an evolution of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, sharing its single prime Cortex-X4 core for the CPU and on-device AI capabilities with the flagship 8 series. The new chip promises a 15% improved CPU and 45% improved Adreno GPU compared to its predecessor, along with a 5% reduction in power consumption. This is the first chip in the Snapdragon 7 series to have on-device generative AI capabilities. It supports a wide range of large language models (LLMs) and large vision models (LVMs). The first companies to use it will be OnePlus, Realme, and Sharp.
