Nvidia’s Blackwell AI Chip Priced Over $30,000

Nvidia’s CEO, Jensen Huang, has announced that their next-generation AI chip, Blackwell, will cost between $30,000 and $40,000 per unit. This new chip is expected to be in high demand for training and deploying AI software. Despite the high price, it is in line with its predecessor, the H100, which was priced between $25,000 and $40,000 per chip. The company has invested about $10 billion in research and development for the Blackwell chip. The chip is physically larger than the previous generation as it combines two chips. It is expected to ship later this year.
