Weiss, revealed that Obama responded with a humorous note stating, “In case there ever is a real alien invasion, I think I should probably save myself for that crisis.” The request for Obama’s cameo wasn’t random as he had previously expressed his admiration for Liu Cixin’s novel, the basis for the series. Obama also admired Benioff and Weiss’ work and had requested advanced screeners of ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 during his presidency.
