Nvidia’s Blackwell Chips: Up to 30 Times Faster, Powering the AI Revolution

Nvidia has announced its next-generation platform, Blackwell, which is set to revolutionize the AI industry. The Blackwell chips are between seven and 30 times faster than the H100 chips and use 25 times less power. These chips are expected to power the new Industrial Revolution, according to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. The chips are named after mathematician David Harold Blackwell and are claimed to be the world’s most powerful chip. They offer a significant performance upgrade with speeds of 20 petaflops compared to the H100’s 4 petaflops. This speed is made possible thanks to the 208 billion transistors in Blackwell chips compared to 80 billion in the H100. The cost of the chips has not been disclosed yet.
