Apple and Google in Talks to Integrate Gemini AI into iPhone

Apple is reportedly in active negotiations with Google to integrate Google’s Gemini, a set of generative AI models, into the iPhone. This move could potentially power new features in the iPhone software due for release this year. The terms, branding, and implementation of the AI agreement are yet to be finalized. If the deal materializes, it would build on the existing search partnership between the two tech giants. Google currently pays Apple billions of dollars annually to be the default search engine in the Safari web browser on the iPhone and other devices.
