Walmart is teaming up with Apple to sell the Mac for the first time

Walmart has started selling the M1 MacBook Air for the first time, marking a new partnership with Apple. The base model M1 MacBook Air is available online and in select stores for $699, a week after Apple introduced the new M3 MacBook Air and discontinued the M1 MacBook Air.

This is the first time Walmart is selling Macs directly, having previously relied on third-party partners to sell Macs through its online marketplace. Walmart has historically sold other Apple devices like the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.

The $699 price point for the M1 MacBook Air through Walmart is quite attractive, especially considering it’s being sold in brand new condition. For comparison, Apple sells the M1 MacBook Air through its refurbished store for $759
