James Webb and Hubble Telescopes Confirm Universe Expansion Anomaly

The James Webb and Hubble space telescopes have confirmed a perplexing issue in physics – the universe appears to be expanding at different rates depending on where we look. This problem, known as the Hubble Tension, could potentially disrupt our understanding of cosmology. In 2019, the Hubble Space Telescope confirmed this puzzle, and in 2023, the James Webb Space Telescope’s precise measurements further solidified the discrepancy. Now, both telescopes working together have ruled out the possibility of any measurement error. This suggests that our understanding of the universe may be fundamentally flawed. With measurement errors negated, the real and exciting possibility is that we have misunderstood the universe, says lead study author Adam Riess, a professor of physics and astronomy at Johns Hopkins University.
