Intel Core i9-14900KS Breaks Overclocking Records at 9.1GHz

Intel’s flagship CPU, the Core i9-14900KS, has been overclocked to a record-breaking 9.1GHz by the team at Asus, surpassing their previous record with the 13900K. This was achieved using liquid helium cooling. The 14900KS, which is expected to run at 5.9GHz on all cores, was delidded by a member of the Overclock.net forums, resulting in a 10°C temperature drop under full load. Despite the impressive overclocking, the CPU’s power consumption is extreme, drawing up to 432W in certain tests. The 14900KS is expected to break existing benchmark numbers once extreme overclockers use liquid nitrous.
