Meta Sues Former Vice President Over Alleged Stolen Documents

Meta Platforms Inc. has filed a lawsuit against its former Vice President, Dipinder Singh Khurana, for allegedly stealing confidential documents before joining a “stealth” AI cloud computing startup. Khurana, who worked at Meta for 12 years and held the position of VP of infrastructure, is accused of taking proprietary and sensitive documents about Meta’s business and employees as he prepared to leave the company. The complaint alleges that Khurana uploaded these documents to his personal Google Drive and Dropbox accounts before departing, with at least eight employees listed in the documents subsequently leaving Meta to join Khurana’s new company. This legal action underscores the tech industry’s efforts to protect intellectual property and confidential information.
