Apple already unbans Epic Games, will allow Fortnite on iPhone in EU

Apple has lifted the ban on Epic Games, allowing Fortnite to return to the iPhone in the European Union. This decision comes after the implementation of the Digital Markets Act (DMA), a new set of EU regulations that require Big Tech companies to open their platforms to competition. Epic Games had its developer account terminated by Apple due to Fortnite’s history of violating Apple’s rules and the company’s criticism of Apple. However, following a swift inquiry by the European Commission, Apple agreed to restore Epic Games’ access under the DMA law. This means Fortnite will likely return to iOS, allowing gamers in the EU to play the popular battle royale game on their iPhones for the first time since 2020.
