Sony is laying off about 900 PlayStation employees

Sony Interactive Entertainment, the company behind PlayStation, is laying off about 900 employees worldwide, which represents an 8% reduction in its global workforce. The layoffs will affect employees across several PlayStation studios in regions including North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific. The London studio of Sony Interactive Entertainment will close permanently. In Japan, the company will implement a next career support program. Severance packages will be provided to the laid-off employees.
