YX International, an Asian technology company that routes millions of SMS text messages worldwide, has secured an exposed database that was leaking one-time security codes. These codes could have potentially granted unauthorized access to users’ Facebook, Google, and TikTok accounts. The database, which was accessible without a password, contained text messages sent to users, including one-time passcodes and password reset links for some of the world’s largest tech companies. The database logs dated back to July 2023 and were growing by the minute. Despite the security lapse, YX International has sealed the vulnerability.
