YouTube's free picture-in-picture mode could go global really soon

YouTube’s free picture-in-picture (PiP) mode, previously available only to US users, could soon be available globally. Multiple non-Premium users in Europe have reported seeing the feature on their devices. However, YouTube’s official account contradicts this, stating that a Premium subscription is required for PiP outside the US. Currently, free users cannot view some content, like music videos, in PiP mode. This development, whether an experiment or an error, is currently limited to users in Europe. YouTube’s support pages still mention these limitations, with exceptions for YouTube Premium users worldwide.
