Tesla’s plans for a major factory expansion in Brandenburg, Germany, faced a setback as locals voted against it. The expansion included a rail freight depot and storage facilities to help Tesla avoid production pauses due to parts shortages. The company needed to cut down approximately 250 acres of forest near a nature conservation area for the expansion, leading to local opposition.
