The FDA states that it has not authorized, cleared, or approved any such device. The agency advises consumers, patients, and caregivers to avoid these devices as inaccurate measurements can lead to errors in diabetes management, including taking the wrong dose of insulin, which can quickly lead to dangerously low glucose levels.
