Google Chrome 122 Now Available: Here's What's New

  • Google Chrome 122 is now available with new features and changes.
  • A new writing assistant feature is introduced. Right-clicking on a text box or text field and selecting “Help me write” will generate a longer and properly formatted draft.
  • Changes to Safe Browsing are implemented. Web pages will start loading before the Safe Browsing check is complete, speeding up browser performance with minimal impact on security.
  • PDF downloads are checked less often due to the rarity of PDF exploits.
  • Improvements for WebGPU are included, adding a “compatibility mode” for WebGPU applications to run on devices that only support DirectX 11 graphics and OpenGL ES.
  • The update aims to allow WebGPU applications and games to run on more types of computers and mobile devices.
  • Chrome will automatically install the update when it’s available.
