- Google is testing a feature in Google Search Labs called “Talk to a Live Representative”.
- This feature initiates a call, waits on hold, and connects to a customer service representative on behalf of the user.
- The entire process, from initiating the call to navigating automated menus to waiting on hold, is handled by Google.
- When a live support agent is connected, Google calls the user from a previously specified phone number to let them take over the call.
- Currently, the service supports 30 businesses across five categories: airlines, telecommunications, retail, services, and insurance.
- The feature is still being tested and may not be available for everyone.
