Google Messages could soon let you edit texts after sending

Google is reportedly working on an editing feature for the Messages app. This feature can be enabled in the latest beta version by flipping a few flags. Once activated, users can edit messages sent within the last 30 minutes by long-pressing the message they want to change. This action will bring up a pencil icon that opens the text editing box. The feature also allows users to view the editing history of the edited message. However, if the recipient hasn’t enabled the feature, the edits will arrive as separate messages1.
