Google Maps goes to extreme lengths to create a detailed Immersive View

Google Maps introduces Immersive View for routes, combining Street View and aerial imagery for a realistic bird’s-eye view of the route.
Cameras mounted on cars and backpacks are used to gather Street View imagery, which is combined with aerial cameras for 3D models.
Immersive View for routes includes animated traffic, weather overlays, and specific time-of-day representations, currently available in select major cities.
