Abode's new security cam uses Wi-Fi HaLow for its insane 1.5-mile range

Abode’s new Edge Camera is equipped with Wi-Fi HaLow technology, allowing for high-performing Wi-Fi and cutting through the noise of other smart home devices connected via Wi-Fi.
The Edge Camera has an impressive transmission range of over 1.5 miles, thanks to its sub-GHz frequency band, providing 100 times more coverage compared to traditional Wi-Fi security cameras.
The camera also features AI technology from Xailient, allowing it to detect objects, faces, and anomalies. It can last up to one year on a full charge and will launch in Q1 2024 with a starting price of $200.
